Nestled just a few miles from the Canadian-American border, Winchester Mountain offers a breathtaking escape that's surprisingly accessible. A short hike from Twin Lakes—assuming your car can make it to the trailhead—leads you to this amazing summit. We were fortunate enough to have the fire lookout all to ourselves for an unforgettable night. Within just a few hours, we witnessed an incredible sunset, the northern lights, and the Milky Way.
